Workaway

Workaway

We are really pleased to have found and partnered with Workaway.info - it is thanks to Flavie, a young girl from Normandie who was staying at Mikes (another host on Workaway here in Biscarrosse) who came to regular yoga classes in exchange for babysitting. We were sad when she left town to her next adventure. But this is what Workaway is all about. Travelling and hosting for an exchange of culture and services. James did a GAP year in 1997 and looked after children at a boarding school in New Zealand and during his twenties did lots of travelling and was grateful to be fed and sheltered by new friends and kind hosts along the way. So this is the ultimate karma for him - a chance to repay the kindness and share and gain experiences from new young travellers who have taken the courageous step to leave their home town and explore the world.

We have realised too that we can't do everything ourselves nor do we have the resources to employ help. With family in England and friends here busy with their own lives it is not practical to call for help when it's needed. We have the space and live in a popular seaside town of the France, so it is great opportunity for someone to come and stay with meals for free in exchange for a 3-5 hours of work, 5 days a week.

We accept only applicants through Workaway - if your interested - do send us a message.
