The Autumn Retreat - Personal Yoga Stays


Available weekly between October and December from Monday afternoon to Friday lunchtime. During the quiet off-season here in south west France, you can have an opportunity to enjoy the quiet and empty stunning beaches of Biscarrosse, Landes, France and do however much or as little as you want. The week is yours. Come and stay for just 3 or 4 nights or even 3 or 4 weeks.


A personal retreat that you can design with us consisting of as little or as much as you want. Some past guest have used these retreats to;

  • Remote Working while enjoying the seaside and being taken care, great for digital nomads.

  • Book writing - or project creation is often a difficult task and sometimes guets appreciate the seaside and a lodge escape to help motivate and inspire them to action.

  • Relationship / Employment change - From a diverse, bereavement or unexpected redundancy, past guets have found a personal retreat useful for honouring change and transitioning themselves. With time to connect with nature, themselves and be cared for.

  • Training - Past guests that have been preparing for a physical performance (stage, film, event, marathon) have used their time here to train physically and mentally to prepare.

  • Revision - Maybe you like studying maybe you don’t. Why not come here and do it and make it more enjoyable. Who says you can’t study while sitting on a beach!

  • Self Development - Past guest have used the week to have personal, private and exclusive access to Rachel + James to work on personal or professional goals.

  • Individual/Couple Relationship Work - The week can be used to re-connect with your parter to over come a difficult period. You can choose to use the mentoring or coaching skills of Rachel or James to navigate yourself to whatever freedoms you desire together.

  • Detoxification & Healing - Past guest love the space for detoxing from city life and using the time to instigate some postive habits, especially in response to perhaps more less self serving habits like smoking, drinking, use of devises, social media.

  • Yoga Retreat Research - During the summer Yoga Teachers from all over the World host their own retreats at Yoga Beach House. Retreat leader use the time here to try out activities and plan their future retreats here .

The Autumn period is great time to quieten and calm the mind and body as we prepare for the winter season. It is a great period for getting things done. There are less distractions around this time and with the days becoming shorter it encourages more ‘hibernation’ sleep patterns or some early nights. We can use this time to prepare and set intentions for achievement for the following spring and summer period both personally or professionally, emotionally or physically.


You will have your own bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchen space. Plus the use of shared spaces such as terraces , gardens and the yoga studio plus you can walk the house dog or have cuddles with the house cat. If you have allergies the animals can be organised to be away from your living space.

You can eat with the family owners (Rachel, James and their daughter) or have your meals delivered to your own space or even prepare your own meals. If your stay includes a weekend, you are invited to prepare your own meals in the guest kitchen or eat in a local cafes or restaurant.

You can decide how much you want organising during your retreat such as;

  • Life coaching sessions

In terms of external things to do we can help organise guided or unguided activities such as;

  • Surfing

  • Horseriding

  • Cycling

  • Guided forest walks

  • Spa treatments at the house like massage, nails, hair etc.

  • Visit a local heated salt water pool and spa centre


  • Morning hot lemon

  • Guided Meditation

  • Guided Asana - either a flowing hatha vinyasa or a gentle hatha restorative - you decide

  • Brunch

  • Free Time

  • Optional Guided Activity

  • Optional Asana + Meditation

  • Dinner

  • Free Time


The meals are provide are tasty and colourful vegetarian, home prepared meals sourced regionally. You can dictate how often you eat at the house or perhaps you care to eat out some meals. The choice is yours. No beer, wine or spirits are served and we ask you to respect Yoga Beach House being a sober space and place to heal and detox.

Loose leafed herbal teas and fruit water are provided throughout your stay. Coffee is optional.

Vegan, gluten free and other dietary requirements cane catered for.

Simple send an enquiry, along with your requested week during early October to mid December. Stays available from 4 nights to 4 weeks.


We can taylor make your itinerary to suit your requirements and adjusted flexibly according to your requests.

A typical formula based on a Monday to Friday 4 night/ 5 day personal stay includes a single private bedroom, twice daily meals, drinks and 3 x yoga classes is 400€ per person. The rate for a double room or a twin room with 2 people sharing is reduced to 350€ per person.

The rate can be reduced by taking half board (just breakfast) or by taking just 1 or 2 yoga classes. Just let us know your requirements.

For weekend only stays please send us a request with your preferred dates.

Supplementary activities such as (surfing, horse-riding) to paid directly to the service providers.
